Scan a real store, build its mall twin
Open this page in the Quest 3 browser inside the store. The headset's own room understanding (floor, walls, ceiling, doors, tables, shelves) is read by this page and saved as a footprint file. We use that file to build the storefront in the mall to the real layout.
- On the Quest, finish Settings → Physical Space → Space Setup for the room first (one time; the headset walks the walls for you). Small rooms scan best.
- Tap Start scan below. Passthrough opens. Look around the room slowly for ten seconds.
- Pull the trigger (or tap Save) — the footprint is saved to your account and you can download or email it.
Not started. This needs a Quest 3 (or 3S) in its own browser; phones and desktops can only view saved scans.
